To demonstrate that I am crap at math, yesterday was from Grade Two. Two, three,,,whats the diff? This is from Grade Three and the delightful Mrs. Evelyn Ledger, who was a widow in her late 50s, maybe early 60s- back when that was old. She always wore skirts and had an amazing collection of pins and matching earrings. She was a favorite teacher and I loved to sit next to her whenever possible. In spite of the fact that she wore lilac perfume and I am violently allergic to lilacs. I spent two years with itchy eyes and a runny nose and more nosebleeds than any child should have to endure. I think I spent more time in the girls room with a bloody nose than in the classroom. Which may account for the following comments: Cindy tests quite well but she does not seem to apply her knowledge in her daily work. With a little more effort, I feel her work could be more neatly and carefully done. She is a very happy, co-operative youngster See! Happy and co-operative. Just not so much with the spelling. Which makes me laugh because Im a total spelling maniac now, and far less co-operative than I probably should be. Any of you who have had to clean up after me in the kitchen already know that I never made any progress on the neatly and carefully business. Seems I am only capable of great precision and organizational forced marches through paperwork when I am getting paid :-)
