To dispell any confusion: my cover is a statement of enough...with a little Uncle! NOT because of a broken heart ((we all know THAT cant happen haha)) but the loss of friendships. I have never given up on anyone or anything because of bumpy roads, life style choices, mistakes or misunderstandings. I am usually the first to apologize if Ive wronged or attempt to make it right. But I wont prostrate myself. Since Ive moved, Ive lost not one but a few friends...I dont give a fig about my Facebook friend count ... but the silence, punishment, stubborn pride OUTSIDE of social media is intolerable, confusing and, quite honestly, very hurtful. So, for the first time in my life ... I quit chasing. I quit the exhausting effort. I am through with one-sided friendships. You want it, MAKE THE EFFORT. I am blessed with the wonderful balance of Facebook friends and daily friendships I have on BOTH coasts. I will not mourn the loss of a few that dont see me in the equation any longer. Great memories but moving forward with life.
