To everyone who thinks suicide is cowardly and selfish please check your ignorance. Youre just showing your complete lack of comprehension on Mental Illness and demonstrating an unbelievably low level of compassion towards those suffering. Having suffered with and and continuing to deal with depression I know the perils of mental illness. I also know what its like to be in the deep dark where it seems like there is no hope. In 2012 I tried to take my own life. For me at the time there was no other option. I couldnt handle my issues anymore and my demons had won. Its a day I think about constantly. It has nothing to do with the amount of money one has, the love of their family and friends, the things they own, or how happy they appear to be. When youre battling demons it is very hard and depending on your level of suffering it can seem impossible that you will ever be ok. To choose suicide as the solution to end youre suffering is an extreme decision. It is impossible to understand the pain and suffering and battling of demons that a person is going through to make that decision unless you have been there. So please stop with your ignorant comments. They dont help. Its comments like that, that scare people from reaching out because of how they will be perceived and judged by their peers.
