To fight the unfair and disproportionate attack on our pensions, - our old age security - during a very precarious time for the NHS and Public Welfare Services, we will utilise all of our traditional Trade Union organising strengths. Be confident that we have taken action before - and we forced a pay rise. Please also remember that due to this Branch having an active and courageous past we know that the threat of Industrial Action will bring on all of the typical stale Employer threats. The Employers will do all in their power to stop us from taking strike action and forcing them to climb down. As a Trade Union we are already taking Employers to Court re the two hour, pay docking in the last dispute. This is a National dispute and all pre 92 USS Universities (the old Universities) throughout the UK are with us. We will have the backing of the wider movement. Importantly, we already have had a unanimous vote from the Branch meetings to open a hardship fund, if required.
