To find inner peace is to come into the moment , out of the past or future , to the place of calm . Move from action to inaction, from thinking to listening . Meditation is about the receptive faculty of mind , a active passivity to speak . You can use turning your attention inward , to following your breath , achieve a state of observation . One thing you can do is to listen for that , that can not be heard . Acute receptivity, passively attuned to listening . Getting your breath so quiet that you are searching for its sound . This can only happen when you are in the present moment . A process you can use is to listen to music , not just any music, but music that is soothing your soul . When listening , listen deeply. Listen for a feeling beyond the music , listen for a place deep within where peace is beyond the world . The place that is unshakable , peaceful and calm . I love to use Mozart for this .
