Some people Know what they want to do. Others meander through life and never know what they have as a talent. The idea here is never give up on your dreams. If you consider that I started off as a typist, then typed all the stuff for Dad and his lectures, then typed the muck of our family in court cases and litigation, and finally to win 33, walk out by others on 2, stalemate on one and one settlement, the foundation lay in what I never knew would become my life. The love of English as a subject, one teacher who inspired me Miss Concy Muller who always lauded my essays and written assignments , others who blocked me Georgie detestable woman. And others who pinned the maths book on your back when you did not do homework, who would assault students who got up without permission to put waste paper in the basket, the end result was tables full of old banana skins, crunched paper because they feared her, and I refused to go to school until my mother went and spoke to the Principal (an understanding nun who went with her to the classroom and found the muck in desks and then transferred the teacher as a temporary.. not many would do that on a complaint of one who spoke for all.. thats me!) And of course having a sister who loved to play anything that I thought of as a song! Melanie Dharmagunaratne.. Follow your intuition. But be realistic as well, i.e. at the age of retirement do what you want to do once you have done with the bringing up children bit, taking care of the husband, cooking and cleaning for them all boring!
