To keep this of the main page, as I dont want to see the rugby community to see us all fight over the new logo. These are propositions, if you dont like it, we can always vote to stick with the old one. We were recommended to change the logo for marketing reasons (getting sponsors to help the club run on). We need to look a bit more serious. Hence the decision to get a new logo, which was decided by committee members. Now to all those going on about the spirit of the club etc. There is a lot of words spoken about what the club is and isnt. If only the same spirit would apply in terms of supporting the club with actual matters. Ive been working my socks of for the past few months fighting for sponsors, teams and getting things done for the 10s. Besides a handful of people no one has volunteered to help, and trust me this is a tough job. In the mean time, when the clubs finances were bad I managed to pull of an event that raised quite a bit of money for the club and helped us paddle on. Im working on a solution to raise even more funds and create a tournament that will attract more teams next year. There is a lot of moaning and complaining about the waste of time etc. but the complaints are aimed at the wrong person. Im not trying to blow my trumpet and say hey look at me, look how great I am. Im trying to say: try and put as much energy as I do in to this club. Were all sitting in the same boat, so better not try and rock it too much, and throw overboard one of the people who are actually trying to steer it in the right direction.
