To make a really good film, first & foremost, we really need to have a very good & well structured script! Whether its a low or big budget movie, a filmmaker should have a solid script to begin with. Even if u have the best directors, actors, etc.If your script is bad, then the movie will be bad. I just had dinner couple weeks ago with the cool & talented director/writer/producer from New York of the film Graceland, Ron Morales, his wife, my bro/co-producer/partner/director, Gorio Vicuna, our line producer/partner, Elaine Carriedo Lozano, my cool actor friend Leon Miguel(Tnx bro for the introduction to Direk Ron), whos also one of the main actors of the film & others. Were talking about the possibility of doing another film. Anyway, Ron said the script for Graceland roughly went thru 23 or so revisions. 23 revisions? Thats seems a lot, but to make a solid script, thats probably not a lot. Thats probably why Graceland turned out to be a good Filipino made film & got picked up by a U.S. Film Distribution company. It took Ben Affleck & Mat Damon 8 years to make Good Will Hunting, Etc. So whether your budget is low or big for your film, please pay attention to the Structure of your script & make sure youve a good relevant story to tell. Our team aims high, works hard, & our goal is the same thing! At the end of the day, it also has to be entertaining because we are after all in the Entertainment business.
