To me being evidence-based means not only considering the evidence - TopicsExpress

To me being evidence-based means not only considering the evidence from randomized controlled trials, but also clinical experience (both my own and that of colleagues), historical evidence (i.e. traditional chinese medicine, which has been used for thousands of years), and last but not least, patient preference. Dr. David Katz eloquently discusses how medicine can be both holistic and evidence-based. Very good read. huffingtonpost/david-katz-md/healthy-living-news_b_5249309.html?utm_hp_ref=tw&utm_content=buffera0932&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=buffer
