To me, if there is anything useful to take away from the budget, is that it sets a clear direction on the next 3 years of economic policies (I expect them to loosen the purse strings for GE14). We can expect a series of measures and a somewhat smaller counter measure to be implemented, with the general rule government will continue to grow while taking more and more from the economy - leading to stagnant growth and high inflation. This is pretty much a Waterbaording Torture, but youve got to know when to stop or risk killing the victim. If you are betting on the victim to survive the 3 years, then try to leverage more on properties or even stocks (even though I am adverse to it). If you think the victim will go into a coma, then reduce your leverage and keep more money in the bank.
