From every memory, From my first time driving To chicken coop destroying More than those memories, you gave me a chance Took in the troubled teen Who was on a hell bent streak of mean Future was looking bleak But you turned the other cheek shut others out, Let me in, Gave me a room, Created a young man Teaching me more in a few years Than in my prior 15 years To Uncle JimBo, The definition of a upstanding man I am one of your number one fans Not just because you are a veteran And a hell of a family man But because in our short time span So much time was spent making us friends From 5 am workouts, Walking through the wet grass- Through the fog, getting at it before class Showing up with soaked shoes All from just trying to pay some dues You drove me everyday, wrote my workouts, never worn Was beside me as my partner from warm up to cool down Coaching my practice dealing with my madness, Through the sadness you somehow created some sort of finesse By the end Ill be the best, All because you rewrote my future, sending me on a better quest Given me options, multiple doors Even after having to start my senior year from the floor You helped me rise and roar Showed me there is no such thing as a bar to high In life or on the pit, believe and fly Never quit or show frustrations Keep your head down and never stop working, stay in motion Most of all to remember Is to always Have Character - Love Ry
