To my COD friends: I just wanted to write a brief note apologizing for my abrupt disappearance this semester. I have spoken to some of you, but many of you are probably wondering where I went. For the past couple of years, I have been considering switching to a church closer to La Mirada, where I live. The time and expense of travel have kept me from being as involved at COD as I would like to be, and I work on Tuesday night, which prevents me from being involved in the youth group. However, I really love all of you and didn’t want to switch, so I kept coming. Then in November I developed some weird panic disorder with agoraphobia. (You can read about that here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agoraphobia) I was very embarrassed, and that is why I did not tell many of you what was happening. I found myself unable to drive to COD, and so I started going to Grace EV Free in La Mirada. I have made a lot of friends there and gotten involved in the youth group and Grace’s equivalent of a HUB group. Thankfully, I believe I am past the agoraphobia now, so hopefully I will be able to pop up to COD from time to time. I love you and hope you are all doing well!
