To my Facebook friends and family in the Dumfries/ Possum Point area. I have an idea I would like to throw out, I spoke to my mom about it briefly. I would like to do the adopt a highway program, and have a portion of Possum Point dedicated in honor of my dad Tony Thrall, who passed away in August. My parents have lived on Possum Point since the 70s, my dad loved being right there on the water and taking his boat out, just enjoying Quantico Creek Bay and the Potomac River. There is a requirement that a group has to get together four times a year and pick up trash along the dedicated area. Please let me know if anyone would be interested, Im willing to drive up those 4 times and help keep Possum Point beautiful and free of trash. :)
