To my Libertarian leaning friends: You do understand that you are not in the majority and so need to align yourselves with another coalition. You seem to have aligned yourselves behind the Rand Paul faction and the Republican party because they promote small government which, to you, I presume, means freedom, and the unleashing of the free markets. But your partners in the Republican Party include fundamentalist Christians with their focus on limiting personal freedoms and plutocrats, who want to control the markets for their own profits. I think you might find a much friendlier home in the Democratic Party where you enjoy our emphasis on personal freedoms and could help us limit the power of the plutocrats on our side. Think about it.
