To my atheist friends, I propose this question: Is it not true - TopicsExpress

To my atheist friends, I propose this question: Is it not true that if there is no God, your opinion is invalidated by evidence of the simplicity of your definition of the natural components of our origins, who’s composite, by all scientific calculation, is necessarily incapable of addressing the existence of the reasonable probability factor that there is a hand behind the creation of what some study and consider a full field, declare with smug certainty, that a set of origins which had no origins, made you think just now? From nowhere. “... and then, minerals materialized and banged together, and that’s who you are”. Close your eyes. If you believe you are REAL, there must at least be a force beyond even your capacity to interpret your earthly experience. Be mindful that you are viewing all you know commensurate with the state of technology and scientific postulation which coincides with the era of your human existence. In my opinion: to bet it all on a theory that you were born and made of only a cold, non-existent mineral set which somehow turned into proteins, which somehow turned into living, reasoning beings, which eventually turned into You, is to mindlessly and intentionally mask off a part of the brain which yearns to believe there is something more than what the human eyes see and the stomach craves. . . that we are born to have, and it is carried with us, the sense that our nature may somehow be eternal - that beyond it all, we are REAL, and that “real” must mean forever. And if there is a forever, it stands that some-thing or some-one had to set it all up. The thing had to be a “One” - real, like you - for otherwise, their could not be even a concept of the notion of who YOU are. That ponderances alone lies outside the realm of possible present scientific identification. If the impetus of creation were in the hands of a nothing, and that it then, at some pointless point, was interrupted by some split-micro-second new invention from nowhere called “chance”, who’s material properties incited creation to spin a series of events — and who’s origins, the greatest minds of our day admit they have no clue about — then their would be no discussion at all. It wouldn’t be a thought. A thought. Why is the rose beautiful? It will never know. It is not real like you. An It didn’t, couldn’t invent beauty or love. A Who had to invent these things. Don’t most of us have the inherent sense that there is a greater force at work here among this mess, and that we are carried with a sense that we are not alone? The elements of a big-bang rock specimen do not possess such attributes. Some One had to set up the after-hours club, the Ever-Hours Club, so that / because there is a “REAL” to it all. The only answer, the sponsor, the energy - is exemplified by the biggest thing we know and feel in our natural lives — Love! “Love” also happens to be known as a life element which is as scientifically unmapped or un-mappable, and as unprovable as the otherwise evident phenomenon of a Creator of all that exists. It’s Love. Love is a thing beyond telescopes and critical study. Something, as someone, had to invent that. And the smaller and yet grandiose magics of color and humor, of time and space, of a mother’s nipple and child’s soft face, the way we let a song overtake us or feel a smile in our hearts as we comfort a friend in need. These things don’t come from the components of rocks. My hope for realness, for eternity, rests in a thing who’s a One. I call Him God. I love him for His love. And He loves You truly. Now.
