To my courts, (cause i know theres facebook in doggie heaven) I remember the day we found you, and even though you were a complete mess we ended up bringing you home, and it was realization for me that i now had, two dogs, two kids a cat and myself to raise and look after. You were tagged as special heres the ball courts, go get it, which granted you did, now bring it back and you start walking towards me, Jemma or Ben and then divert in the opposite direction. when we played hide and go seek in the dark with all of us, Cody would be tearing up the house trying to look for me, you, well you just kinda sit and waited for the lights to come back on, when Jemma and Ben came through the door home from school, you would be whining all over the house in a happy way, wagging that silly tail, and when there was thunder oh boy, you actually did run all over the house trying to find a closet or a toilet to hide behind, youd sit and shake, boy were you afraid, and holding you and your stinkyness.. its what a pet owner does, You seemed to somehow comprehend the trips to sonic though, where youd get a fresh burger and a cup of ice cream, there was a definite smile on your face where food and treats were concerned, and you turned into a little chunky monkey, you would follow Cody around learning how to be a dog, and you kinda got it. When Cody passed, you were so upset, so depressed and i thought i was going to lose you too, but through my love and you knowing its ok, one day youd see him again, you carried on being courts. We then moved to Mack Dobbs, and here there were 18 other dogs, oh so many friends, and loving aunt lisa you went on walks through the woods, she told me you were the pack leader, racing off, chasing the deers/rabbits, stopping for a circle butt scratch every two minutes, but you were so very very happy, when i left for work daily, youd stroll your little butt over to the big house, say hi to all your friends, find your spot on a cushion or bed and return home when i got back. When i came home two days ago now, you seemed as if you were hurting, very tired, your lymph nodes swollen, your eye bulged out, your breathing slower, i would say you actually looked your age (91 human years) , so i knew something was wrong, we feed you a Rib eye, which you chomped down so freaking quickly, we drove you to Cobb emergency vets, where you jumped out of the car, ran across the parking lot to the grass hill, all those smells, done a little butt scratch, happily walked in and went off with a stranger which im sure they prodded and poked you around :remember he was only doing his job: and i being told you had lymphoma, it was decision time as things would only get worse, and so even though it was one of the hardest choices, i think allowing you to go while you could still walk towards those pearl gates :eating the milky bones on the way: Cody waiting, tails wagging, is what was right. The tears are still falling, Mr Murray and buddy keep on meowing for you, jumping up on your bed, Murray looking in the closet :in-case your hiding from the thunder: going outside walking around the house, but alas, you are no longer here, i picture you and Cody together, i find peace in that, you walking behind him, saying ok whats this gig where do we get the burgers and ice cream, and you know! Codys already got his sources, stay with him, tell him everything youve done in 3 years, and enjoy this new life. I will miss you every day but thank you for being my special little courts for 13yrs.
