To my dear sisters, Remember when people look upon you with uncertainty, Allah looks down at you with familiarity. You are recognized by others as a stranger in your veil and abaya- so let them, you are rare amongst the questions. They’ll never understand, they won’t feel what’s in your heart- you were made to feel this. Do not be confused with the concept of looking beautiful in hijab- this is not the case. Being beautifully modest is not about looking good in hijab but the beauty of eeman, the beauty of dressing dull and dark, the simplicity is what makes the eeman shine. We try so hard to fashionize the hijab, we try and make it fit into mainstream fashion- we change it and customise it so in the end we have hijabs that look like hair and the dress code of other religions. Leave it, you will destroy it! Leave it how it is, don’t think anything need to be shortened and tightened- don’t add toxic to the original form. Embrace it and live your life by it.
