To my facebook family: When I ask you all to share articles, there is a very good reason for it. Groups of Assyrians around the world are working on a campaign called, A Demand For Action. Thats right, a campaign, not just a hashtag. This campaign is centred on the demand for a safe haven for the Assyrians and international intervention in their plight. Behind the scenes, these groups are focused on obtaining worldwide media coverage of the situation, bringing global attention to the atrocities taking place in Iraq against ALL ethno-religious minorities, but ESPECIALLY those committed against the Assyrians, the indigenous people of the land. These worldwide A Demand For Action bases lobby, write articles, share articles, research the news, compile databases, flood social media outlets, write letters, make phone calls and do so much more to help ensure the safety of the Iraqi people. We are collaborating under the advice of the founder of A Demand For Action, Nuri Seyhan Kino, a Swedish-Assyrian journalist who has committed his heart, mind and soul into getting our people what we NEED. He is seriously sleep deprived as a result. It is absolutely crucial that we share everything on every social media outlet we can, hashtag #DemandForAction and put pressure on the international communities to help us. We all need to pull together, regardless of your racial or religious background, we beg you to assist us in this goal. Assyrians have been persecuted long enough. ENOUGH! We need security and safety!!! We want to live in peace! Help us please! Dohuk could be overrun at any time. Most have fled, but some have stayed. America is in it now, and we need to push for other international communities to assist. Keep posting. Keep sharing. Our peoples lives are literally in your hands. God bless you all.
