To my fellow juniors who just finish their studies, I wanna share you something. What I want u to do now is explore. Dont rush into getting jobs. Trust me, job is always there but experience does not come again. As for me, Right after I finish my studies while waiting fr graduation, I take myself to Penang, I went to thousands of cafe, I went out with my frends, Im just enjoying myself and not just enjoy but let my eyes to see the real world, to appreciate our life, see whats the problem of our society, n hv an idea to fix it, see new things, explore new things, soon u will developmur own interest. As fr me I love Heritage and want to preserve it bcos I took a solo trip thru Penang riding a bike, exploring myself, so its an eye opener to u. If you find a job too soon, u wont know or experience what is real life is all about. U cn see the beauty, the problems, our society, thats all becoming a Designer, u design things that u already know n u already experienxe trust me when u knw urself Okay Im done exploring, now I know what I need to do thats when ur job is excellent, u appreciate the beauty n it strives u to become a better Designer, because u blend it with society. Oh trust me, many bantah ckp Kenapa tak cari kerja lagi. Yadi yada. As for me, if money is concern, I did my own bussiness I cook healthy food fr people at the gym fr few months. Also Im a part time waitress ag Fikcles. I went for fitness. I pretty enjoy myself. Thats about living, u gotta take dis oppurtunity and trust me when u start working u dnt hv time fr all dis, all u hv is pressure, if u just wnt to find a job straight, pressure is on you, then u mcm tkde mood nk kerja because u dnt hv that joy. The joy of become a Designer is when ur eyes really open to see the world, u experience u travel, dnt hv to be overseas, just around ur area maybe, just to see the real beauty that u have forgetten. As for me, when I started to find a job at Jobstreet is when I tell myself. Im ready for the real world lets go. Then i applied to only 5 firm, I got 3. Even I applied that morning, ptg dh dpt invite interview. So job is always there. What they wnt to hear when u interview is ur confident when u speak. During my part time cafe, I soeak alot with many ppl including foreigners, so I develop myself theu communication and confident. When u speak ur confident hw u see things, hw u see urself, u r cleared ur boss hv confident in u. Now look where I am now, in one of the proudest company in Malaysia; INAI Venture Holdings. Which hv done alot of Mosques, Palaces, Airports, KL Heritage Trail. They are doin 3D Architectural Ornaments, Cufic, Calligraphy, Modern Contemporary, Container Design. And Alhamdullilah they have trust in me in Designing. Even fr meetings they use my Design. Bcos its the passion n the experience that comes along. Ofcos any job theres pressure n datelines, but bcos u r determined n u r so passionate, ur work will be superb. Dear fellow graduates, take the oppurtunity, dont rush, follow ur heart., find urself, bcos now is the time u can decide fr urself what u really want bcos no one cn stop u :) not universities, not parents.
