To my friends in education-I went to a memorial service tonight - TopicsExpress

To my friends in education-I went to a memorial service tonight for a man who coached track at Mt. Sac a number of years ago, and I was really touched when his athletes spoke of the influence he had on them personally and how he effected their lifes. We in education sometimes forget that we will probably never see our influence on a student, but it was potent all the same. In closing the preacher spoke about the power of believing in Christ, but I was thinking how the educational community needs to believe in the power of us and the good we spread. Remember we DO make a difference. Just because you dont see it, doesnt mean it isnt there. I believe in us and in what we do. We affect lives. :)
