To my prayer warrior friends and family. I would really appreciate your prayers today. I going up to OHSU to be with my friend Jenny and her husband Matt. Their new baby boy, Jesse was born 9 weeks premature and with an omphalocele (liver,spleen,and part of stomach formed outside of his body). He is only five days old and has already had one surgery and today is having a second surgery. It is very risky and the doctors have given his parents a 40-50% chance of him surviving the surgery. My heart is heavy for this family and while I trust in Gods will I also know the pain of anticipating the possible death if your baby. Please pray for Matt and Jenny Branstetter and their other two children, baby Jesse, the doctors and other medical staff taking care of Jesse, and for myself to be a helpful support in whatever way God desires.
