To my son, you may not have FB yet but Im still going to share my thoughts with the world. There is no possible way I can ever explain how much I love you. There arent enough words. You single handedly changed my life. You made everything I thought I knew go out the window. Each and every day we learn from one another. No other job on this planet will ever be more important than my role as your mom. No other job has as many challenges or rewards. Your arrival wasnt easy but I saw a tiny 2lb 4.4oz miracle fight to live a life many of us take for granted. Fight for every breath. When the tiniest (real) hand I had ever seen wrapped itself around my finger is a moment I will cherish every day of my life because the odds were against you even reaching your 1st birthday. Youre 11 now and those years flew by. This is why they say dont blink. Youre a vibrant young man full of personality and attitude. I know youre having some difficulties right now, but one day youll look back and see this as just another battle you faced. I promise you will be stronger for it. You are the reason I was able to add mother to my description for the very first time. Not one other person can ever do that. Just you. That makes you extra special. I had no idea how much I could truly love a person until I met you. No matter where life takes you, state to country, no matter what you ever do, from firefighter to astronaut, just remember that its all because I closed my eyes and wished to one day have you in my life. I hope all your dreams come true because you made mine come true on October 8, 2003. Happy 11th Birthday Peanut!!
