To night was senior night and its really hard to think I cant call fruitloops on the field before the game I was crying when they called out your name I was crying but I could not do it aanymore I broke down at the end of them game Im going to miss u alot The time is here It has finally come Writing this poem means that were actually done In a couple of months Your row your last race Youll pack up your things and leave this dear place Your time spent here Has had both the good and the bad So while your relieved that its over Were also quite sad While the work has been hard And it can make us real tired Our teammates are the ones Who keep us inspired You couldnt ask for Any better a group Whether beating your butt Love and support Means more than they know Its their faces that flash When we hear attention... row And so as weve learned this sport is more than just winning even though that is also great fun especially when our team starts singingThis sport isnt just about the catch and the drive Its not just about timing Or the will to survive Its all about working As one and TOGETHER To achieve something greater And to make each other better Even though everyone here is different Weve all experienced the same Bonding with our teammates With their crazy stories and nicknames. And so fellow rower Youll rower sense only one piece of advice Next time at the race course Take a chance to look twice Think about those people Both in front of you and behind The ones still on the shore And the ones next to you on the line Weve all worked our butts off To get where we are And without each other We wouldnt get very far Once all of this racing Finally comes to an end Remember to thank them for their support Your teammates, coaches and friends Good luck in the future I know youll do your best And when its finally all over Youll get some much needed rest
