To our 24th MEU Families and Friends: You are probably aware of the recent unrest in Yemen that has led to concerns for the safety and security of U.S. State Department personnel serving there. We continue to monitor the situation in Yemen from our current station in the Red Sea. The Marines and Sailors of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit embarked on USS Iwo Jima and USS Fort McHenry stand ready to support the Department of State should it become necessary to protect our American citizens serving abroad. Well keep our families informed as the situation develops.
