To our clients and friends, It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we notify you of the loss of one our dearest friends and resort family members, Jack. He was a loving Brittany Spaniel who will always be remembered for his incredibly sweet and affectionate personality. In the middle of the daycare yard if you bent down to pet him, he would put his head across your arm or leg and just close his eyes and soak up the love. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Jack’s owner, who we have been in close contact with, and continue to grieve with her during this difficult time. And we truly appreciate her continued trust in us by still bringing Jacks sister to our daycare. We will always keep Jack’s memory alive in our hearts. Jack’s loss stems from the events of an incident that was the result of a breakdown in internal communication, as well as safety procedure and protocol at the resort. In light of this situation, we have modified our policies and made necessary changes to provide you with greater safety and security when leaving your pets in our daycare facility. This includes never leaving dogs alone in the daycare yard even for a few seconds, and we have banned all dogs that have displayed any concerning behaviors in the past. In addition, we have made a donation to the New England English Springer Spaniel Rescue in memory of Jack. If anyone would also like to make a donation in Jacks memory, please visit New England English Springer Spaniel Rescue at essrescue.org. We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by this tragic event and look forward to the healing process for some modicum of comfort and relief. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly at john4dogman@yahoo. Sincerely, John Gagnon
