To our dear Lacey: I frequently see your name pop up on my newsfeed. Well today was one of those days.... And I decided to write. Theres not a day that goes by that I dont think of you. Think of your beautiful face, your quirky personality, the way you could make anyone smile when they were having the worse of days. I will never forget when I heard the news you were missing. I was sitting at my desk at work. The place we had spent so much time together discussing life, work, friends and our children. You were so proud of those beautiful angels. I can remember you going on and on as any proud parent would do. They were your life, your world. You were trying so hard to give them the life you wanted them to have, the life they deserved. I never in my wildest dreams ever imagined something so tragic happening to you. After all this is only something you see in horror movies. It doesnt seem fair to put so many people... 3 beautiful children threw such heartache. I pray all the time for answers. There is nothing I wouldnt do to help end this nightmare for your family and friends. We have all searched, posted fliers, walked threw swamps to find the answers to all our questions. I know everyones willing to continue to do so until youve been found. Your disappearance has brought so many people together. So many new friendships have been formed. I just know your smiling down on us at the very thought. So were coming up on the 2 year mark. I still cant believe its been that long. I will never be able to understand how these people have lived with theirselves for 2 long years knowing what they know. Keeping your family and girls in complete darkness, leaving an empty spot in everyone hearts. We all hold onto faith these people will eventually come forward with the answers everyone has longed for. The answers that will give everyone the closure they deserve but more importantly be able to put your beautiful spirit to rest. We love you Lace.... You will forever live on in the hearts of those that loved you.... Until we meet again... fly high beautiful and continue to watch over those you love.
