To our fellow citizens, young and old. I want to take this - TopicsExpress

To our fellow citizens, young and old. I want to take this time to wish you the best as we celebrate the birth of Jesus who died for our sins. You have been the best nation for years and we are proud of you. You supported us in good and bad times. The late Sir G would have put it so succinctly that re lo eleletsa matshititswiti le tonyonyo ya masego a keresemose. He is now no more but his spirit lives on and is a good guide to our lives. As we celebrate with our loved ones anywhere in Botswana, let us remind our parents that we need change in our lives, we need good jobs, we need protection, we need land and shelter of our own, we need happiness in our families, we need security for our nation both social and economic. Our nation should be congratulated for the good start, the 17 constituencies you gave to the UDC has brought a smile to many Batswana who are yearning for change, who are troubled by poverty everyday of their lives. Who look at our leaders looting our economy everyday leaving nothing to them, who have been jobless for years but see politicians rejected by people and the next day they are either nominated councillors, specially elected MPs , Ambassadors or are managers or coordinators of departments in the office of the President. These are our people who watch helplessly when the national cake is a preserve of a cabal of the ruling elites and their surrogates. Let us use this day to spread the spirit of moono to all we know, at football tournaments in Tutume,Maitengwe, Gweta, Masunga, Mathangwane, Lerala, Maunatlala,Mahalapye Serowe, Gheto, Tsabong, Kang, Chobe, Sefhare and all places that needs the word. We need change and it has to come in 2019. Our country is in the intensive care unit and we can take it put through a vote in 2019. As I remember my brother and leader Sir Gomolemo Motswaledi, a recipient of the Presidential award during Rre Masires time, the founding leader of the peoples movement, a staunch UCCSA member, a man of song and dance, a philanthropist of note, a father now an angel of God I want on his behalf to wish you all a restful day wherever you are in the name of UDC and moono. Tlholang sentle betsho.
