To our incredible friends and supporters, this morning I have a somewhat different kind of post to share with you guys. Many of you have seen the news, our big secret, that we were dying to share with you. What you dont know is how very hard it was for us to keep the secret to ourselves until Animal House was ready to make their announcement. Trust me when I tell you that we were bursting with joy and excitement! The Animal House shelter makeover is the answer to our prayers, to years of prayers. Those of you who know us, know the struggles that we are faced with on an almost constant basis in continuing our mission to be the voice for Gods little creatures. Many others, we feel sure, have a pretty good idea of how trying the times can be. We believe in our hearts and in our souls that we are doing Gods work here at CARA. If not, I dont believe our organization could have survived as long as it has. And the huge number of miracles that we have seen unfold? That is nothing but God, folks. The many miracles that we have experienced can only come from one source, as does our passion and the strength that we are continually given to keep moving forward. Yes, we are grateful beyond any words that Animal House has chosen CARA to be a recipient of their very generous efforts to strengthen our core of animal rescue. For because of them, so many of our dreams for our babies will be realized. I think its safe to say that Animal House will see for themselves the extreme amount of gratitude that we have when they make that trip here. As the recently elected Chairman of the Board of CARA, and a strong voice for our beautiful babies, what I need for you all to know is how deeply grateful we are to all of you. We will always believe that the outpouring of love and support from all of you played a huge role in our being chosen. When Animal House tossed this idea around last year, tons of you bombarded them with love and support for our organization. The Animal House folks even said that they were astounded by the tremendous amount of support we have. So many of the posts and comments you made honestly brought us to tears. You see, we have always known that we have the most wonderful, loyal supporters on the planet. But seeing all of those comments you guys shared on our behalf was humbling beyond words. Thank you to every, single one of you. Thank you for your financial support, you moral support, your willingness to always help when we have been in need. Thank you to the thousands of great people over the years who have given our precious angels the wonderful homes that they so deserved. We also thank the ones of you who were able to come out last Sunday and celebrate with us, as well as the many who have celebrated with us in spirit. Please know that we are very well aware that without the generous love and support we have always had from all of you, and the watchful eye of our Lord above, we would have never made it to this point. Also know that we are incredibly excited about sharing this new chapter of our shelter history book with all of you! We intend to take you along on every step of this journey, and share with you the excitement and the incredible happiness that this project promises to bring.
