To people that whine about Police (unless they need them for an emergency). Yes there are some bad Police to include bad Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines.....waiters, mailmen, teachers and list goes on. I was raised by a Policeman, from San Francisco. A veteran of the 101st ABN and 1st Cav in Vietnam. Most Police back then were Vets. 1968-1998 This is another point, the Police are trained for domestic issues 99% of society doesnt understand. Military only personnel that believe because they have a deployment or two, they understand how to be a Policeman or woman, they dont. If a bad apple in an orchard is bad that doesnt mean the whole orchard is. Saying that is intellectual dishonesty. Police respond to issues the average citizen would run from and hide. Police deal with the whole issue, not what most dummies see in a 2 min youtube clip. Remember they enforce the Law that you the citizen vote in as law and the lawmakers make happen. So if you get pulled over or arrested due to the Police enforcing the Law, then look in the mirror. Either you get informed when voting, or simply follow the laws. If you blow over the ballot on Election Day then dont complain when legislators and judges ultimately make the decision because of your lack of interest. The Police I know are 99.9% good as the Service members I know are 99.9% good.... In the case of Service members and the average citizen maybe less.
