To piggy back a bit on Carlin J. Murphy-Amalfitanos post earlier, I have a few statements. I enjoy coming to this page each day and reading/sharing all things CB 11 related with my friends and neighbors. Of late there have been people who do not live near our community coming to this page to promote their own agendas (mostly activism.) While I applaud and appreciate activists and their hard work, this is the *wrong* forum. There are plenty of groups on Facebook that deal with the well being of The Bronx as a whole and all Bronx related issues. When these people get called out, the standard reply is, dont you care about The Bronx? Yes I do, but I tackle the issues that occur outside CB 11 on the pages and groups dedicated to The Bronx and the admins here must urge them to do the same. Our CB 11 page cannot continue to get hijacked in this manner. It is a disservice to all of our members.
