To play a successful shot you need to pick your target, focus, aim correctly, rehearse your swing feelings, then execute! Normally when golfers of any level mishit a shot, it is has more to do with the intimidation factor of the shot or the expectation of the shot. When preparing for a shot, you should look at what is required to execute an effective shot. Do you need to play a Draw? Fade? Low shot? High Shot? etc... What club will execute the shot the way you want? Many players under value the effect that the wind has on the shot which then makes the player choose the wrong club for the shot.
