Tonight, driven by the insanity of the past 24 hours in a corner of our country, driven by the tragedy on a highway in our community, driven to find perspective, I was compelled to finally watch the final episode of Cosmos in our Netflix queue. The closing features this narration by Carl Sagan. Its fitting. Its touching. It was exactly what I needed to hear. ...it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another.
