To raise awareness about Nutrition in ICU patients, Kailash Hospital NOIDA in association with Indian Medical Association Hapur & Fresenius Kabi India Ltd. organized a CME ( Continuous Medical Education ) Programme on 4th October, 2014, at City Plaza, Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, Dr. Anil Gurnani, Group Director, Critical Care, Kailash Group of Hospitals, delivered a talk on “Nutrition in Critically ill patients”. The CME was attended by President IMA Hapur, Dr. Sunil Sharma. Doctors from Indian Medical Association, Hapur, delegates from print media & society were also among the attendees. During the deliberations, Dr. Gurnani highlighted the importance of specialized Nutrition needs of patients in ICU, esp. patients with massive bodily injury ( Polytrauma), Burns, Septicemia, patients with Major surgery & Cancer patients. Through this education programme, awareness for Nutrition was created amongst the common public & medical fraternity. It was also informed during this CME that Kailash Hospital, NOIDA is significantly contributing to the field of Nutrition by conducting National multicentre project (Indian Database for Immunonutrition Result Appraisal) with Dr. Anil Gurnani as principal investigator. This was followed by question answer session.
