To reduce road death and carnage,Africa should invest in low cost airlines and High speed trains.Harare-Joburg is busy enough to warrant a long term investment in a 5hr journey High speed train,all is needed is for government to give the guarantee and perhaps some tax cuts and allow private companies to do their thing.The French companies have a high speed that can run on diesel. An efficient transport system is essential for a vibrant economy.There is already plans in place for a new rail system from South Africa to Zambia via Zimbabwe, why not include high speed passenger train in that? Your thought?
