To save girls from falling in love jihad trap, community in UP bans mobiles Agra, September 2:A community in Uttar Pradesh has imposed a ban on the use of mobile phones by school girls in order to save them from falling prey to love jihad. As per a report in an English daily, the diktat has been issued by an influential committee of vaishyas, called the Akhil Bharitiya Vaishya Ekta Parishad (ABVEP). The ban stipulates that school-going girls and teenagers should not use mobile phones. The ban kicks-off in Agra and will later be extended to other parts of the state. Interestingly, the decision was taken at a meeting which was also attended by Union Minister Kalraj Mishra. At the meeting, ABEVP national president Sumant Gupta reportedly slammed the state government of Akhilesh Yadav for extending special privileges to a particular community while making others feel vulnerable. Gupta argued at the meeting that mobiles and Internet were leading young minds to fall in the love jihad trap and that the ban was a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, another case of love jihad has been reported from Bihar. A Hindi daily has reported that a 14-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped from Bhagalpur and forced to convert to Islam, before being forcefully married.
