To some of my friends, who question my posts that deal with race... I know full well that clearly, race doesn’t matter as a genetic concept. Biologically, there are no pure, distinct races. However, the use of race is NOT the cause of racism but instead its the RESULT of racism. Race matters because racism and racial discrimination matters. There are loads of people out in our world separating important data based on race. And thats important because it helps to make the impact of racism and racial discrimination visible and therefore allows us to address the root problem. Just the same as Cancer, AIDS or Obesity. (Researched thoroughly) Just take a drive around your city and youll see a stark reality. The legacy of slavery, segregation, and racism have ensured that in most socioeconomic areas, blacks continue to lag behind whites. Those factors affect the health, socioeconomic status, biology, and environment of those who suffer from it. In a systematically racist society such as ours, racism is not something we should act as though doesnt exist, instead we should address it, just like any other issue affecting people.
