To the Barren. To the mother who carried for a week, a month, or - TopicsExpress

To the Barren. To the mother who carried for a week, a month, or nine, but never met her breathing son. To the mother who held her daughter every second of her short life and lost her mere hours after birth. To the mother who lost her child to war, betrayal, kidnapping, or slavery. To the mother whose son gave his life in her defense. To the mother whose daughter took her own life. To the mother who remains her criminal childs only defender and friend. To the mother whose children disappeared in anger or malice. To the mother whose womb could never carry. To the mother whose uterus was taken, like mine. May you be blessed today in your brokenness. May your profound loss and grief be the seed of compassion that blossoms into Shade for mothers whose loss is new and fresh and burning. May you be Mothers to the motherless, hope to the hopeless, and may the absence of fruit from your womb produce the fruits of desperate love for those whose mothers have failed or abandoned them, those who so desperately need to be held by the unconditional, unbreakable, unshakable love of a mother. May you be filled to overflowing with the love of the Father who knows, who holds you, who has purposed you. For more.
