Ann Waiguru , OGW We are aware that 6 Billion shillings initially promised to youth during the campaigns by Jubilee Coalition is finally being launched through a framework dubbed “Uwezo Fund for Youth and Women”. However, the we youths notes serious issues in the framework that needs urgent redress before rolling out since we do not want to embarrass you on the material day of the launch. We have been informed that NYC had written to the task force working on this and the their issues have been ignored and this made the leadership of the NYC to storm the committees meetings. Why do you ignore and frustrate our leaders to that level, rem respect is two way traffic? Youths are aware that this money was to be issued out as grants and not loans. We are against the framework that places the money squarely in the hands of MPs. For your information the youth are opposed to the idea of giving parliamentarians control of this money because it’ll end up being given to cronies, supporters and campaigners, and not addressing the concern of developing youths as per the Presidents intention. We campaign hard for this victory and will never allow some few individuals like Itumbi and other greedy youths to misguide you on this. The youth must be let to control this money, kindly listen to our problems that was channeled through NYC because we elected them as our leaders and yet we are told that you always ignore them.
