To the Municipal Prosecutor in the Western Dakota County City that I will not name: I was giving you a GIFT by having my client plead guilty to the 4th Degree DWI charge but you just HAD to demand that he also plead guilty to a payable Petty Misdemeanor marijuana possession charge because you have prosecutorial discretion and that is your new policy. Well, I have an old policy… my policy is to now make you spend countless hours responding to NUMEROUS discovery requests, proving chain of custody, testing of the alleged substance, attending and having ALL officers attend ALL suppression and evidentiary hearings, and then having a trial which, in the end, will cost your firm thousands of contract dollars as well as officer overtime pay. Good luck explaining why you spent all that contract money and officer overtime pay to get a $200.00 fine and Petty Misdemeanor conviction to the city council when your contract comes up for renewal! #yourmessingwiththewrongguy #letsplayhardball
