To the Oxford dictionary, what is real is: actually existing as a thing or occurring in fact; not imagined or supposed. To the Oxford dictionary, to exist is: to have objective reality or being. Therefore, the mind, ideas, imagination, truth, consciousness, and so forth, are not real and do not exist. They only exist if they are created into an object. So that piece of art that is in your mind does not exist until you paint it. If the Oxford dictionary is defining words in this way, you know civilizations core belief is in materialism. It is forced upon you from birth, and you are not granted the luxury of accepting it or not.
