To the content police who are shaming others for not posting about what they think we should post about: #Ferguson is all over my newsfeed. So is #RobinWilliams. Ferguson doesnt invalidate anyones feelings about Mr. Williams death and its not our fault that theyre happening at the same time. If you want to to tut tut what people pay attention to in the media how about asking why were not posting about Icelands revolution? Or *better yet*, dont play the moral superiority card because everyone isnt taking about what you want to talk about. Being into a current social justice issue does not make you better than people who are sad about a beloved actors death. And being a celebrity does not somehow make his death less affecting. I wont shame you for not being affected by Robin Williams death, so how about you stop shaming those who are. PS - There is always something worse in the world. Telling us to post about Ferguson is like an activist telling another activist that their cause is unworthy because theres something more important out there. Dont be that guy. Nobody likes that guy.
