To the deshcnenes family, my good friends. I thaught Id share a couple good memories of jules, I allways remember his smile, such a genuine smile he had. I dont think he ever faked a smile, if he wasnt happy about somthing, you knew it, and when he smiled, you couldnt help but smile aswell. I remember one time when matt and I were about 17 years old, jules was cutting firewood at the house in upsala. In an attempt to earn respect from matts dad I said, hey lets go help him. Matt got a serious look on his face and said, ohhh no, he has to pile it a certain way and you will probly mess it up and then he will kick our buts. The reason why jules technique was so important to him was so each piece of wood dried out just the way he wanted, so that in the end he could make the perfect fire to keep his family warm. And also. So his piles would never fall over. I think that the way he did firewood was a lot like the way he raised his family. Taking extra care, he piled everything just the way he wanted and I see that perfect glowing fire in each family member. Aswell as the strenght to never fall over. It is an honor to have the deschenes family in my life and I thank jules and jeanine for that. Farewell to a great great man
