To the families of those on board the missing Malaysian airplane. - TopicsExpress

To the families of those on board the missing Malaysian airplane. We wait with you and we pray with you. How many times have we each gone to the airport to collect a loved one and our only concern was how long it would take them to collect their baggage? We tut at the security line when we are asked to take off our boots because it took 15 minutes to put them on, and yet we are quick to cast blame when something goes wrong. The wait is the most painful part, and learning about your relatives makes our wait more real. The couple on their honeymoon, the man starting a new job, or the woman visiting family....we have all been those people, we have all taken those trips. Why them, why now? With so much speculation around what happened and how, I would urge everyone to put their questions to the back of the queue and put your hands in your pockets to prevent any finger pointing. No one knows..yet, but they will do. We pray that your agony will be over soon and we hope that against all odds, your family is safe. No matter what the outcome, I pray for answers. Answers to every questions, but until then I cannot imagine the questions....the mind altering, brain hurting questions that must be going through your hearts. In light of the time that has passed, and given the possibility that your loved ones may not be held again, I hope they are at peace. I hope they were not fearful and I hope they are safe in heaven, whatever you believe that to be. I hope that you will each rest easy one day and have peace in your hearts. I hope that your wait will be over soon...I hope, I hope To the families of the pilot and co.pilot I am sorry. I am sorry that the first questions are asked of your son, your brother, your husband and father. I am sure there are procedures that have to be followed, but please know that many people do not share the concerns of others. Many believe the good in all, and many know that their names will be cleared in time. I feel strongly that your family members will be hailed as heros, sailing in uncharted waters. I have no doubt they did all they could to return to you and to return the other passengers to their families. I hope you all find comfort in the final words from the cockpit. There was no word of distress. All right, Good night....four words, none of which suggest anything other than see you soon, until next time....until good morning. I hope one day your mornings will be good again, and your nights will be all right. Until then, know you are not alone in your grief, not alone in the wait. The world waits with you.
