To the guy “Daniel” who just called my phone from a blocked number… claiming to be from “Microsoft Tech Support”… claiming to have found a “virus” on my computer, and if I pay $300, he will remotely access my computer so he can remove it... He tried to hit me with a million big words and technical terminology, but I knew this was a scam when he said that he gets the error messages when applications are “Not Responding” and users hit “Send Error Report”, but I ALWAYS hit “Don’t Send Report”, which I called him out on. He then said “Microsoft still gets them anyway”. So I asked him “What is my IP address? Since my computer sends you error reports?” and “Which computer has this virus, I have four”, and “Which operating system am I currently using”. He immediately hung up. Nice Try… But WE GOT’CHA!
