To the guy whose large, snarling dog just stormed into our home - TopicsExpress

To the guy whose large, snarling dog just stormed into our home off Mead Vale and scared the [daylights] out of me, both of our cats, and (to a much lesser degree because hes braver and wasnt in the room at the time) my husband: lets get something clear. YOU are responsible for keeping YOUR dog under control when you are walking him on a leash. Neither of our cats, who were on our property at the time, are in any way at fault for tempting your dog into our living room. Implying that my cats were some sort of temptresses that irresistably lured your big-[***], [teed]-off dog into our actual home -- like, into our living room -- is completely out of line. I dont care who is holding the leash, you or your wife: it is your responsibility to keep your dog under control when you are walking him. Im sorry that your wife was pulled over and lost control of him, but that is not my problem, and its not my cats responsibility to become invisible when a dog is within eyeshot. YOU. Are responsible for YOUR pet. I, and my pets, have a right to be safe in our own territory without your dog thundering in, growling and upset, without your supervision, and scaring the [heck] out of everyone. We had better things to do tonight than trying to find out if our pets have run away from home thanks to your inability to control your dog. And thanks to the fact that your sole response was that it was somehow our cats fault for being visible on our property, if I do see you walking your dog on our street again -- I am calling the police IMMEDIATELY.
