To the left - three important things in my life: My youngest daughter, my oldest daughter and my car (in front of my apartment). In the middle left - three important things in my life: My youngest daughter, my oldest daughter and a pint of "London Pride". In the middle right: A professional shopper To the right - two young people try to escape the photographer. THE VIKINGS WERE BACK FOR 4 DAYS [Saturday 15th to Wednesday 19th] - We embarked on an intense cultural program consisting of seeing "Man of Steel" in Oxford Cinema, the romantic comedy "500 Days of Summer", that clearly was in the better 1/4 of that genre [I have become an expert] and a documentary on "Babies", where 4 babies [Japan, Mongolia, Nigeria and US] were followed in their 1st year. We wanted to see the David Bowie exhibition at Victoria and Albert Museum, but the queues were prohibitive, but we will try again late July. We drifted around for an hour in V & A, but then went shopping. The London trip also included yet a visit to "Abercrombie and Fitch" - strangest boutique ever. There seems to be 2 employees for each customer - how can that be a viable business model? I live in Wolvercote [where Tolkien is buried] and there is a wonderful 3-mile walk to Oxford over Port Meadows [that I refer to as my garden] or by the Thames. There is no way we would cook ourselves when there are good pubs and Indian restaurants ready to cook for us.
