To the most beautiful daughter in the world, it was exactly 17 years ago at Olivarez Compound, Paranaque City,Metro Manila, this hour, i felt increasing irregular pains in my belly...in my mind it was just a false alarm coz it was a week early from my expected date of delivery... so i decided to have a check up that day. The father,my husband who was about to go to work accompanied me to the hospital...on our way, he said that we will take a cab but i insisted to ride the jeepney instead. Plan was he will just leave me at the hospital then he will go straight to work...Arriving 8am in the hospital, the nurse in charge did an internal examinations....i was almost half way dilated...meaning my cervical dilation was around 4cm...and the pains were getting stronger and regular every 5mins... I remember when episodes of pain started, i was clinging to the shoulder of my husband and his sleeve was almost ripped off from my crouches. I saw the worry and concern upon his face and i know that his wishing that if he could only spare me from the pain, he would definitely willing to bear it for me. But this is my wonderful obstacle as a mother. So i made myself strong and be in command of the situation. Told my husband to take an emergency leave and go home to get my prepared stuffs already packed inside a bag. And he did. Every hour passed, i progressed to 2cm every hour. Then at around 11am just in time my husband arrived, i was already 8cm. The Midwife and the doctor with some student nurses accompanied me to the delivery room and help me placed on the delivery table...stirrups were placed andmy legs hanged over... Careless about the position, whats important that time was to deliver my baby safely... I pushed really hard but with No result...the baby was stuck between my groin...i heard staffs assisting me talking to the baby Baby labas ka na kasi manananghalian pa kami...Then came one orderly who helped me pushed. Synchronized pushing...me pushing with all my strength and him pushing my tummy down...then at 11:45am I heard the most pleasing sound ive ever heard...the cry of my baby...Thank God shes safe. So to you our wonderful daughter SHARLYN, always remember that your Papa and I will always here for you. To guide you and to raise you in a way our parents raised us too. God fearing and always think of good things. To aim high and work hard for it, so in the future you will have strong wings to fly and also well equipped to face the challenges of life... For Us, your Papa and Me... You will always be our baby and our treasure. we will not be perfect parents but most definitely, we are willing to risk and give our life for you. WE LOVE YOU and YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN OUR EYES!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANAK!!! From Mama, Papa and Toto Shawn
