To the parents of a sandy blonde, young man (maybe early middle school aged) wearing a black athletic shirt with Priority Pest on the chest at Charlie Daniels Park yesterday around 4 pm: I want to thank you for raising such a respectful and compassionate kid. Yesterday, as your son was playing with all of his friends around that tall oblong spinner thing in the middle section of the big playground, my 17 mo old son ran up behind him to the other side of the spinner. Just as he got there, your son spun it and it hit Bryce in the face. Toddler tears ensued of course, but I could tell your sweet son was clearly upset. I reassured him that it was completely an accident, not at all his fault, and that Bryce was fine. Really it was my fault for having a little guy on the big kid playground. The tears stopped quickly and everyone went back to playing. But about 30 minutes later Bryce was sitting by himself on a bench drinking some water when your son left his friends and came and sat down with Bryce. I was about 10 ft away and couldnt hear exactly what he said but he talked to him for about a minute and had him smiling and then gave him a hug and high five before heading back to his buddies. It has been tugging on my heart that I didnt come find you immediately to brag on your son and I hope that this post will eventually make it to you. I just want you to know that you have done an excellent job raising a fine young man. I can only hope that my child will be this kind hearted at his age. Thank you- Lara Craig
