To the people asking me to find you on Ello... I dont use Pinterest, twitter, Instagram, or Google Plus so Im not following you there either. I uninstalled Foursquare months ago so Im not following you there. Never installed Swarm. I didnt accept your LinkedIn request unless I know you from business. I didnt friend you on Yelp or rhapsody. I didnt friend you in my Fitbit when I was using it. Im not following your LiveJournal and I never used MySpace, Bebo, or Friendster. I didnt find you on Waze when I was using it. Were not friends on Meetup. I dont follow your Flickr, Picasa, or any photo sharing site. I didnt subscribe to your youtube or vimeo channel. Im not following you on slideshare. I dont visit your Ning, community, or online discussion forum and I probably didnt like the facebook business/fan page you asked me to like. I also didnt sign up for your email mailing list. I didnt visit your about.me. I wasnt added to your TripIt. I never used GroupMe. Were not sharing files with Dropbox, Box, Evernote, or Google Drive. I dont use Spotify. We dont have a shared checklist on Wunderlist. Im not reading your blog or Tumblr. I dont Snapchat. And I havent seen your online dating profile. Im not watching your Vines. I never used Orkut. I havent yet heard anything good about Ello. It sounds like there is a fantasy that itll be something someday. I looked at a random profile https://ello.co/dan and it looks like so much of what we already have. Not innovating. What problem does it solve? Whats the point other than the fantasy of what we hope a vc-backed company will build while being free, open, tightly controlled, full of freedom, loaded with options, lacking ads, not selling our data, and protecting our privacy. So enjoy having another social network to maintain and post to! Ill be here until there is a better place where we all are. I feel a blog post coming on... What did I miss?
