To the people in the purple volunteer shirts at Esquimalts - TopicsExpress

To the people in the purple volunteer shirts at Esquimalts Macaulay Point Park. I observed and overheard you harassing a woman and child. The womans child stated his mother was deaf and you continued to berate her and try to block her from exiting the park via the path. My husband and I were appalled but were not close enough at the time to intervene. We were close enough to hear her protesting she was deaf and needed to get to her vehicle. Her child was distressed. Looked like maybe a 5 or 6 year old. We did manage to offer assistance and support to the woman and her child once we reached the parking lot. She was quite upset and shaking. Her child was crying. What we saw was bullying , assault and extremely shameful behaviour. One of the gentlemen involved has a white goatee and white hair. Old enough to be a grandfather. The other woman involved was in here 30s or 40s has a small black poodle on a leash with blonde hair with a ball cap and black sunglasses , quite heavy and drove away in a little blue car. It was appalling to see someone disabled treated in such a way no matter what the circumstances. Shame on whomever these people are. This same woman held a mobile phone in the womans face recording her and asking for her to identify herself. She was asking them to leave her alone and was repeating I am deaf and you are harassing me. Which indeed they were ! There were a few other blonde women with purple shirts standing around as well and that makes you all bullies by association. We were visiting Victoria and a friend suggested we take in the park and see the view. We had no idea we would see such an awful display such as that.
